I’m dedicating this page to Andrew Smith — the first earthly angel to step up and stand beside me as a team leader of the NEXT DOOR Series Campaign. (Check out my revealing interview with Andrew below.)

Together, we’re working to secure a Producer for Season #1 — and our first mission is to assemble a small, focused circle of collaborators with the skills and / or connections, to help us (virtually or in-person), get NEXT DOOR in front of the right producers, while building momentum and online buzz about what makes this story so different.

Why Do I Want You To Get To Know Andrew ?

Because truth is..... you might pass right by me and my work without giving it a second look. I turn 70 this December. At this age, people expect you to either be long established — or long finished. Not saying, "Hey, my work is ready to be discovered !"

It feels like I’ve spent my entire adult life working in an improvisation — with little institutional support or industry connections — steadily creating, refining, and pushing forward. Developing work underground, on a small, group scale, with different participants and collaborators along the way — shaping my own creative vision, teaching materials, projects, and stories on my own terms.

You might not be able to recognize me in you – but maybe you’ll see yourself – or who you want to be – in Andrew. I feel absolutely blessed to have him as my co-conspirator and supporter. We share values – and we’re opposites in all the right ways, the kind that make a killer marketing story.

Andrew's a beautiful human with unbelievable drive who never stops helping others and spearheading new innovative community projects. He founded his own nonprofit, FINDING INSPIRATION, to develop films and events that address mental health issues and generate open-ended dialogue.

That's why Andrew believes in the NEXT DOOR Series and has committed to helping get it produced. While also seeing it as a springboard for moving his own filmmaking to the next level.
