" I'm Using My Collages In My StoryTellers Lessons And Marketing  --- And Having Fun Doing It !   They Might Seem Simple And Unrefined

To Some -- But I Am Creating Fun Signature Artwork; It's Me.

WANT  A  CONVENIENT  INEXPENSIVE

CREATIVE  OPPORTUNITY  TO  BE  STRONGLY  YOU ?

I'm awkward and slow at drawing or painting, but I love to design and place things -- like on a film set, when you direct and get to compose all the elements (i.e. actors, set, props, lighting etc.) for the 'sweet spot' shot that tells a whole story in one frame.  Collage allows me to not only create with my strengths, but also to develop them further in a casual, fun, and convenient way.

I love the artist Frida Kahlo’s self portraits .   Her Self Portraits often portray the very real physical pain she experienced throughout her live, as well as -- and more important to me -- her strength in persisting and being wildly creative.   I've had enough with life difficulties,  and I want to feel more than being blessed just that I survive.   In my Collage Self Portraits I get to put my 'Head' into fun and adventurous worlds !"

EXPLORING COLLAGE AS A DIFFERENT KIND

OF VISUAL  STORYTELLING

StoryTelling is not just words or situations and outcomes. It is also following your intuition, creative expression, learning how to puzzle together pieces into a coherent whole, and communicating emotions to others.  Making a picture Collage allows you to exercise these qualities in a fun, freeing way.

You construct a Collage by piecing together diverse materials and images to create a story in one frame.  (You can do it by cutting and pasting onto a surface or as a digital collage on a computer.) You don't have to use words or be good at drawing.  The story you create can be abstract and still speak to you and to a viewer in an emotional, thought-provoking way.

If you're working on a creative project (like a written story or script or choreographing a dance) and get stuck -- step away and make a Collage expressing the elements you are having trouble untangling.  It can be therapeutic and fun !  Incorporate your own photo into a Collage to create your own personal mythology !   Or make a fun Collage Portrait of someone you love as a gift.     Don't worry and judge, just do.
